Freelance digital marketing associate

Production Craft, a video production company in Chicago, is looking for an independent contractor to work on our social media, website, and SEO campaigns. Responsibilities include building our LinkedIn profile and presence. Will also be assigned to one or two blog/vlog posts per month and make updates to website. Knowledge of SEO is a must. 

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years proven marketing experience

  • Exceptional writing skills

  • Familiar with Squarespace

  • Knowledge of LinkedIn best practices

  • Graphic design and video production knowledge a plus

Most work can be done from home. Hours will be determined with candidate.

Freelance producer/director

Production Craft is looking for freelance producer/directors for a variety of corporate and broadcast projects. Need an experienced person for:

  • Preproduction, including scouting locations, scripting and/or working with writers, talent and stock search, schedules and shot lists

  • Conducting interviews, directing crews and talent on-location

  • Post script from sound bites and direct edits

Work is usually local to Chicago area, but some travel may be involved.

Freelance videographer

Production Craft is looking for freelance Videographers & Camera Operators to join our team of freelancers! Operators will vary from project to project. We are looking for those who have experience in multi-cam productions, live shots for news broadcasts and webcast events, interviews, and b-roll shoots.

  • Proficient in operating 4K & HD Cameras such as Canon C300 Mk I & II, Sony PMW-Fs7, Sony PMW-F5, Sony PMW-F55, Sony A7SII, Panasonic HPX 2700 or equivalent.

  • Lighting & audio knowledge and experience is preferred.

  • Must be able to lift equipment to 40 lbs. Ability to load & strike gear is mandatory.  

Please provide resume, demo reel, and full (10 hours) and half (5 hours) day rates. Specify which format or style and cameras preferred. Owner/operators specify camera package and rate.

Freelance technician

Production Craft is looking for freelance Technicians to schedule on a first come, first serve project basis.

Experience in live shots is required. Must be comfortable in handling IFB/ intercom lines. Assistance in micing talent, setting up camera shots, and directing talent. Basic understanding of a digital router is a plus.

Freelance audio engineer

Production Craft is looking for freelance Audio Engineers to join our team of freelancers! Engineers will vary from project to project. We are looking for those who have experience in multi-cam productions, live shots for news broadcasts and webcast events, interviews and b-roll shoots.

Audio Engineers will be responsible for setting up and placing either wired/wireless labs or Boom mics. Some jobs may require lavs to be hidden. Audio Engineers will also be responsible for setting a hard line or wireless mix to camera(s).

  • Must be proficient in mic placement, boom mics, and operating field mixers and wireless mic transmitters and receivers.

  • Proficient with SoundDevices Field Mixers, Lectrosonics Wireless Mics and Receivers, and RTS Intercom Systems a plus

  • Must be willing to assist in other areas of production as needed.

  • Must be able to lift equipment up to 40lbs. Ability to load & strike gear is mandatory.

  • Must be able to troubleshoot and problem-solve under pressure.
