Corporate Responsibility Policy

Production Craft is committed to adopting policies and utilizing equipment that mitigates our company’s impact on the environment and future generations. To do this, we highlight three pillars of our active participation in corporate responsibility:

Environmental

While working within a highly technical industry, Production Craft is committed to conserving energy and operating environmentally friendly technologies.

We were a leader in the adoption and application of fluorescent and LED lighting during productions. In our design of studio facilities, we specify LED and fluorescent lighting because of its low power consumption and limited heat emission qualities. We have installed LED lighting throughout our facility.

Equipment throughout our office will turn off after periods of non-use or operate on automatic sensors. Most of our production equipment utilizes rechargeable batteries, and we consolidate crew and gear into single vehicles, when possible, in order to save fuel and reduce pollution.

Social

As a woman-owned business and an equal opportunity employer, Production Craft is committed to working with a diverse group of people in a safe environment.

Our team brings a wide array of backgrounds and personal experiences to each production and studio installation. We believe there is strength in diversity. Different people have different perspectives on issues, and that can be valuable for solving problems or generating new ideas. Being unable to understand why someone holds a viewpoint doesn’t mean that they’re wrong.

Our productions carry our commitment to adequately pay employees both for time spent, including overtime and double-time as dictated by industry standards, and on time, as per employment terms. Employees are guaranteed meals within 5 hours of call times. Full-time employees receive benefits including a competitive salary, health insurance, vacation, holiday, and sick time as well as participation in the company’s simple IRA program when eligible.

Ethical

Last updated: July 15, 2022

Production Craft operates under fair and safe business practices and employees must adhere to our Code of Ethics, as outlined below:

1. Be inclusive.

We welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities, including members of any sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, social and economic class, educational level, immigration status, sex, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.

2. Be considerate.

At Production Craft we depend on each other to produce the best work possible. That is why it is paramount for an individual, when making decisions or deciding how best to conduct themselves, to keep not only the company but their fellow colleagues in mind.

3. Be respectful.

An environment where people feel uncomfortable or threatened is not a productive or creative one. We strive to create a culture of mutual respect, one in which opinions and ideas can be shared openly.

4. Be Kind.

Always conduct yourself professionally. Do not insult or put down others. Harassment and exclusionary behavior are not acceptable. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Threats of violence.

  • Insubordination.

  • Discriminatory jokes and language.

  • Sexual harassment.

  • Personal insults, including those using racist or sexist terms.

  • Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behavior.
